nor was it popular*

it's not a very strong point any way. the government has been for the people by the people in some strange sense. that is if you call giving the people two or three candidates to choose from, and gearing it so that certain candidates need more than the majority to win allowing the people to govern.

it looks to me that northerners tend to be more democratic.

True....and also large urban areas. A large portion of the Dems in Georgia are probably in Atlanta.

Haha....I lived in North Carolina for awhile so that might explain the accent. Yeah Eric was totally cool too- alot more laid back and mellow than his "on-line" personality- (sorry I gave that away dude). Yeah you definitely have the Chicago accent, but I'm used to it, all my friends from college were from Chicago.

i saw it.... seriously, it was close. i think i barely give it to obama simply for the fact that McCain didnt have a good response and repeated himself instead of actually creating a new answer or a counter answer only twice.... other than that both did a good job

Meh.....the debate was disappointing. I thought McCain would attack him on all his of his associations (Ayers, Wright, Rezco, etc.). Obama was his usual ignorant, lying self. Since when is health insurance a "right"? Idiot.....

Since poor people moved to America for free health insurance and welfare! Where would the draw be if we didn't give out free money and services??

I don't remember McCain saying it was a right. I thought he said it was a privilege.

about other things is what he meant, they both "lied" a little i feel. also when it comes to kids poor or not THEN health insurance SHOULD be a right. he wasn't stating it was a right for all people like whent he mandates were brought up he said they wouldnt be implied on smal businesses but felt that children should have it because they are in need and relativley cheap to insure, which is true as long as they dont have known serious health issues. however he didnt say e WOULDN'T mandate parents about that, which could definitely be an issue in a poor family.... not sure i agreed to much with that instead maybe have a gov't sponsered health care for the kids if te parents TRUELY cant afford it.
