FYI, If you need a felpro headgasket for an L28, go to Autozone, you save $5 on the EXACT same gasket and they will ship it overnight (and the headgasket you ordered wont come all bent up after waiting a week)

you Advanced Autoparts.

yea second nismo's question, what exactly are we grounding again lol. to vague! for some reason i'd have a feeling it be the relay but ima still ask.

and felpro gaskets SUCK unless they are for simple things like oil pan or valve cover. maybe even timing covers. stuff that doesn't see any stress. as far as intake/exhaust or headgasket, i'll NEVER EFFING TOUCH A SHITPRO GASKET AGAIN!!!! they seem to undoubtedly fail every time, just a matter of when.

the ECU wiring harness has a plug not too far from the ECU that plugs into the fuel pump controller. If you look at the metal plugs with the clip pointing up, the lower right connection when grounded turns the fuel pump relay circuit on.

https://www.zdriver.com/forums/280zx-s130-forums-77/fuel-pump-turns-off-while-driving-280zx-turbo-28820/

I noticed in my post I also mentioned that it was a larger gauge white wire. I thought I had pics but there are none.
I recently upgraded my black electrical tape holding the wire in to brand new zip ties!

sine were talkin about fuel and all, tell me, i have never seen a pressure sensor on a ZX, so how does the fuel pump know to run. Is the ECU just guessing judging by RMP, and a 3 second ignition hot run?

The fuel pump knows to run if the ECU tells it to stay on. It will do this if injector pulses are being sent. The turbo model has a crank angle sensor.

The pump, when working in proper form, will run 9v at idle. When off idle (TPS) it runs full voltage. (12 to 14.4v)
The pressure regulator works off of intake manifold pressure to adjust how much fuel is released back to the tank. It is purely mechanical.

Any older trans shop should know where to get it, but NAPA, carquest, star auto parts would also have it.

Yeah, I got ahold of the part numbers, TT fuel pumps flow 10gph more at 60gph, while the N/A got a 40-50gph fuel pump.

Wow, I might actually have a heart.. i sold my z31T to my brother in law if he promised to pay for the new driveline. So I made a few calls and got a nice built sbc, 4 speed muncie, clutch flywheel and bellhousing for $1k for $120 I found a good holley 650 with a billet proform baseplate, for another $100 I found a proform 750 machined main body, I got a set of shorty headers that look like they will fit nice and a few other bits. hoping for an easy 370WHP with what was listed.

prepare to waste lots of money going there.... cause i know of NOOOOO OOOONNNEEE that has made proper use of ANY UTI TRAINING except a diesel tech. everyone else like one buddy that was a wiring guru and specialized in that stuff works at a credit union, another that specialized in toyota tech was a service writer/bitch and hate his job and is now a claims adjuster for an extended warranty company.

but it does seem like the guys that did stuff as diesel tech training are making pretty well for themselves over at cummins now.

Wyotech was A very long way away from home. This alone was 10 hour drive. free cnc use, dyno use. lifts, tools, metal stock. and free snap on tools. really hard to pass up. expc since military is paying all. Also come out with Manf specific training ready for nissan or ford(if i were to chose ford) right out of school
