swapped w/o front clip

I swapped a 2+2 without using a different ecu or harness and without changing the AC. It can be done well. I can lay it out for you. whole thing cost about $3000. Biggest hassle is making room for the intercoooler pipes through the front bulkhead. You can reprog your ECu yourself with a down load free off the internet and a new chip. YOu will have to find some tv shop to resocket your chip. LOTS cheaper than buying a ecu and you can flash as many different programs as you want. Good for 60 hp,. Let me know.

and usually when NA swaped to TT already will it be reliable as the original TT? It;s true that I want more hp but I also want it to be reliable too.

No, you can't use the stock N/A ecu. Zleeper is incorrect. If has engine hasn't blown up yet, he's very lucky. The N/A uses different injectors and it does not have the proper safety maps. You may be able to use an N/A ecu if you have the EPROM reprogrammed.

Maybe it was not clear enough. I said I did reprog my ECU. Works fine.

I think it would be cool if those wanting to do a TT swap could get it done be members that have done it before and give them a chance to make some money. Myself I've never done a N/A-TT swap, but If I was to do it, I'd go step by step and ask lots of questions.

Guess I missed that part.

IMO, I would be hesitant to trust an EPROM upgrade downloaded from the internet.

I wish I could get someone to man the cameras, but then I'd have to do something. Like work.

Hey let me know how it went, cause I am going to be doing a swap into my n/a. I'm not sure how to do it or if there will be any problems, like wiring issues. I already have the motor, tranny, ecu, and wiring and a fmic, but don't know wtf to do. So if you post info on how yours went, it would help out alot.

300zx swap

I have a 1991 n/a and I just bought a TT motor that came with tranny, ecu, wiring and a fmic. I'm not sure if the motor if the drops in or not and if I have to do any mods to it or if I needed anything else. Also I was wondering about if there would be any wiring issues. I saw in other posts people were just buying front clips, but too late for that, my motor is already sitting here. Basically what I'm asking is, can I just remove my old engine and drop it in connect wires and drive off with it? PLease help me out, its been sitting there for almost a month, I'm tryin to figure out how to do it cause I don't know of a shop around here would do it.
