So who wants to go cruisin with me this weekend?!?!?!
I got the Z reg'd and insured today. Now all i gotta do is go to one of those "pass or dont pay" smoggers and fail intentionaly so i can get an extension and red tag the Z. I'll smog it later through a hookup. For now i just wanna drive her and work out the bugs. So yea . . anyone down for a lil impromtu welcome back kick it session?

DON'T DO THAT!!!!!
Just go to DMV and TELL them you can't pass smog yet and they will GIVE YOU A RED TAG.
IF you fail it on purpose and it gets tagged GROSS POLLUTER, YOU and your CAR are SCREWED FOREVER.
Just go in and ask for an extension.

just a woosh? should be chirpy and fluttery, might need to adjust that spring some, but it also just might be because your only at 7psi. should sound like this:

Actually its sounding just like it should for this car and set up according to the previous owner. Go figure. Plus that engine is pushing hella more PSI and HP. lolz
yeah i know, i put those in there, but it should sound similare but more chirpy at much lower PSI ive heard them on a bunch of fairly stock SR motors this past weekedn, its in my video in my thread titled autobahn or AMS track day, but still 7psi i dont think will do it. gotta be more around 15 or 20, still a bitchin BOV i wish i had one instead of my greddy RS.... dont know why though.
Well its official. Im tagged and legit. Er, as legit as this swap can get right now. I dunno if i wanna drive the Z all the way down to ZCG just yet. Still finding out whats up with the car. I need to wire in my new pigtails forsure. That and finish up the interior. Had a little scare too. I was putting on new rotors and pads in the rear and the ****ing guide pin was froze!!!! But thanks to the guys at the shop we were able to free it and make it like new. i thought i was going to have to dump even more ****ing money in to the car just to get it road worthy. ****in close call. So yea . . . .

EDIT- Thanks to Rod all i did was walk in to DMV and ask for a red tag. No excuse, no sob story. Just ask, and in less than 2 minutes i was out of there. I think that is a record for me. In and out of the DMV, task completed, in less than 3 minutes. Hooray for beer.

Damn its good having the Z back. The hooters meet yesterday was pretty cool. Good fun, cute girls ( kinda rare for hooters around here ) and warm weather. Took the tops down and cruised around for a lil with Icice and then got my magniflow put on. Sounds like a beast. I'll upload some vid later.

lolz, Stealin? Pft. Ice and i both knew that the only girls worth a damn over there were the bar tender and 3 other waitress'. None of them are pictured. I really wasnt trippin off the ladies you see in the pic
So after driving the new setup for a while here is what ive noticed . . .
-Major lack of power in the lower RPM range. My uber high milage NA pulled harder in 1st gear from a stop.
-Power kicks in around 3.5k+ and pulls hard
-Seems like the power will flutter at random times, kinda feels like im tapping the gas.
-Extremely gas hungry. ****in MPG sucks. A lot.
-If it has not had enough to time to warm it lacks power in a big way. Like i have trouble keeping it at speed in low RPM's
-BOV is hecka loud under full boost. Like all ricer status. Metalic like.
Other than that she runs great, keeps very cool and sounds delicious.
