Turbo time. . . .

SO . . .as of 8:30 this evening im the proud new owner of a 83 280ZXT. Sadly its a 2+2. . . . .BUT WHO CARES?!?!?!? 96k original miles, body has seen better days, but it purrs like a kitten. Clean plugs, doesnt miss, recently had a minor tune up and 2 extra batteries for how much you say? Hows about 400 bucks. Yea i felt bad taking it from someone who obviously doesnt know what they have but i figure its going to a better home and well . . .i frankly just dont give a damn. ITS ALL MINE. So it looks like i jught might be back in the game sooner than i thought. Not setting any dates or getting my hopes up just yet. Lots of work, but its a start.

heyyyyy, thats a good idea. Well that is if i can find a cheap way pf makign it run half way decent. . . . .the seals on my NA are toast. Well the #1 cylender seals are. Those were the only ones that let go after that crazy run. Well thank you sir. I hadnt thought of that. Although, wouldnt i get more money if i parted out the 2+2?

possibly, that body though looks really clean. hows the floors and rails? If they are in real good condition the sell it as a whole. You might need to just replace the #1 seal on the na and call it good. Heck you have everything there for the swap.

Those pics are deceiving. The body and paint have seen better days. I mean its comeplete, but the rust around the tails and oxidation are pretty ugly .The engine/bay and interior are clean as heck though

that 2+2 turbo looks nice. Keep it and join me and NismoPick!

they put NA emblems and wheels on it. I see the turbo plate in front of the shifter though... you did open the hood to double-check, right?

Wow man, great score, good luck on the swap. That is the kind of deal I need to find. A decent cheap turbo Z, to pull the drivetrain, and innards out of. Well time to keep searching around here. I am bound to score eventually. Keep us updated on the progress, which I am sure you will. he he

Haha, yes you fools i checked. No oil leaks, good compression acorss the board, clean engine bay and a lovely amount of rust under the tail lights. Like cancer status. Nothing that cant be fixed. But i could care less. Im gunna part it out, hack it up and pull its inards out. 2+2's deserve nothing less

I'll get on those gauges, shady . . .

ok, well I did the same to a 2-seater... if only it had been a slicktop! hehe...

send me those t-tops... for cheap. Or save them for me when I come down! maybe I can bring you some spare parts to trade. That's an 83? You want another P90a head?

Another head, eh?. Well, you know what they say. . . . 2 heads are better than 1!!!!! OK ok, lame i know. We'll see. What else ya got? Im tryin to come up on some cash fast for the 2+2 parts so i dunno if i can wait till MSA. But then again you are the Bleach. I might be able to put those tops on lay-away.

And for the love of sliced bread, give that poor old man his card back. It'll be a year in april . . .

Nope, the 2+2 T-Tops are longer than the coupe T-Tops.

What gauges do you need for the race car? You need a whole cluster or just the speedo?

Im giving him my uber cool NLA custom white face clusters. They're ok, but just not for me. I like the OEM look better, now having switched back. Although, i think i might swap the orange gel covers for some red ones

speakin of heads. I know i can shave the P79 .80 and raise my comp to 10:5. Can i shave a P90A the same and use on a N/A and still reach the 10:5? Cause i heard there are dead quite due to hydro lifter's.

That's about all a P90A is good for... It's also known to have valve float @ higher rpms... and you're S.O.L. if you ever need to replace the hydraulic lifters. They aren't made anymore.
