hey Murph Z32

I am putting new Leather Seat Skins in my car from

http://www.importsextreme.com

They also sell interior kits. The newer Z's use micro-fiber suede for their interiors. To "upgrade" to that is the most expensive, the leather and vinyl is of course the cheapest.

Here is the kicker, INSTALLING this stuff sucks, peeling off the old tweed sucks and putting the leather over the tweed is what they recommend but it just never looks quite right (if you do it yourself).

To get it installed at a local upholstery shop will run you anywhere between 400-800$. That is with all the parts taken off the car and dropped off at the shop of course.

Yeah, that tweed is sooooo 1985

You know when microfiber first came out it was like 3-4 times the cost of natural leather? Nissan went all out when they put it in their Z's.

That microfiber looks pretty cool. The trim kit is only 450 + install. I can't tell from the pics if it would look better than leather trim though.

make sure you find a reputable place to put the leather/fiber kits on. or some really strong glue. mine started peeling off after a few months

When I get some extra cash I'm gonna order that suede trim kit. I'm going to talk to shops tomorrow about the install. I bet I can get the price down if I pull all the panels myself.

Sandplasma where are you at with that Z?

Interesting convo on the interior. I liked the Microfiber on my old Z and I'll stick with this until it rips. I just got word my loan of 6K was approved and I will pick up the check on thursday afternoon. I will go see/test drive the car on Saturday morning and hopefully drive it back

It's 3 hours away so its all good. Not going to Florida again heh

Here are some pics.

Here is my old one just for kicks.

Don't mind the front lip of the old one, I tried photoshopping the plate off and it came out nasty.

It stayed at 13. I have some issues though. He says in the ad that the water pump was replaced as well as the timing belt but I see no nissan sticker on the engine pictures verifying this. I asked him about it but he has not responded. I dont think he has receipts either so it's all word of mouth.
He bought the car and is selling it 2 months later. He says its because a baby is on its way.

Also if you look at the pictues you can see that the black stripe is very clean, no fading and the fog lights appear to not be OEM..leads me to believe some front end work was performed..but again the CARFAX says nothing.

I asked him about this too. We'll see.

I saw a red 90 here where I live with 70k leather, but it was automatic. I think a doctor owns it 9500 obo. Looks to be in pretty good shape. You want the phone number?

make sure you schedule in a long test drive.
look for shade differences on each panel to see if there was work done on the car.

fog lights arent OEM

They guy says he works at a Nissan Dealership so I'm more at ease now.

if i wasnt ~3 hours away i would come look at it(im not in lafayette atm). plus that would mean id have to get up at 5.

there are a few helpful websites in rizz'z link page about buying a Z. read thru them. just make sure you take youre time looking at everything. and dont let the guy push you around.
