It's a 1981 Nissan 280zx, 91k original miles, mint condition (brand new paint job, new tranny)leather interior, power windows, a/c...etc

I paid $1,500 cash for it..wonder if I got a good deal..any suggestions?

 

Sounds like a smokin' deal to me! That is pretty low miles, and is it a turbo or non-turbo?

yeah it's a great deal... all of us have paid amounts that vary greatly... some guys got awesome deals, others (like myself) who didnt research prices, got some not so awesome deals.. Either way, awesome car... good find!

 

Go to nadaguides.com, and that should give you a good idea. They price cars pretty close to what they could be worth to collectors.

 

Okay here it is. List price $16,999, low, $3175, average, $5400, high, $7900. But I think with that low of miles, your ZX could be worth more, and plus the fact you have leather seats, etc... Hope this helps.

 

ok, those prices are way off. $5400 average price for a 280zx? I don't think so...

 

Yeah I know, I don't know where they are getting their figures from. But it makes a fellow feel better, telling them that their car is worth some decent cash!

Not yet, and thats after paint, but the body will not be cheap, but when it's finished I'll be able to thank JfairladyZ for that one, him and Z Spec Garage.
