Sup guys!

Having a odd issue with my Z and can't figure it out for the life of me.

I installed a 1g crushed eclipse bov on my J pipe and the following things happen and I can't figure out how to fix it. I searched for a hour or so and didn't find anything too.

The bov was ran to the first vacuum line on the center top of the intake. Whenever I give it gas and hit boost, I hear a nasty hissing noise like the valve is opening prematurely and leaking like crazy.

I tried not running anything to the bov, which helped and it purged.. but it ultimately did the same thing at full boost. The bov is in great shape and this is also the 2nd one I've tried on here and had the same exact results.

Is there a different vacuum/boost source I should be tapping in to or should I just abandon all hope and go back to bone stock?

 

Chances are, the BOV's where crap. You don't really need a BOV if your running a stock system.

 

Yeah... crushed DSM BOV's are pretty much junk. It's done by people who can't afford even the cheapest halfway good BOV.

 

I honestly think it's the car. It worked like a champ on my old 2g and my buddies 1g.

Who knows... never had so many issues with 1 car in my life

 

Have you tried running it w/ no BOV (stock J-Pipe) ?

 

I ended up tossing the jpipe and pop off valve back on for the sake of being stock.
