There are wheel houses that have huge selections of wheels. You can order any bolt pattern and any offset. They will help you with measurements, all you need to do is pick the style. You will pay more but we all know wheels and tires make the car.

sry bout that nismo i thought that his were 16x7 but thats also on a ZX vs a Z sooo that doesnt help me any cause i have a 78 280Z that im getting wheels for but thanks anyway....and im not a fan of universal either but for 400 a set i wouldnt bitch and yea i know i can have them made but as a college student i cant afford 1k just for wheels from centerline, or 3000 a set from a fully custom maker...unless i get doo doo lookin ones from like diamond racing wheels or something but then i dont get the exact width i would want so i think ima go with those IF THEY WILL FIT?? anybody know? or better yet own a Z with a 16X8 inch wheel thats not rubbing

Im kinda in the same position as you, I want those sportmax 002 wheels and Im looking either at the 16x7 or 16x8. I have 16x7's on my car right now but I want to change the wheel because the ones I have on right now look kinda.... weird. I just want to know if I move up to the 16x8 will it rub anywhere on my car? Or should I just stay with the 16x7 sportmax?

Thanks

Do you have a half inch of room (give or take) on each side of your tires right now?

Read through all the pages of the Sportmax 002 group buy thread on Hybridz
There are a lot of pictures of Z and ZX installs

The 16x8 do have rubbing issues with wide tires only in the back and only on lowered cars. (barely any rubbing) So it depends on how wide you want to run them. I bought some for my Fairlady and I do plan to lower it a lot but I'm going to run narrow tires. Also, rolling the rear fenders seems to fix the issue.

I have the sportmax and i'm lowered. The rears would rub. I rolled the fenders and now is no rub. Fronts don't rub. All you need to do if lowered is roll rear fenders. I run 225 50 16 tires on the 16x8 0eta

base ball bat, talk about a precision tool...yeesh.

you could just leave em, i been downloaidng a bunch of V Option videos to get an idea of the different style old school wheels that are out there, they let em rub the top, was watching a match where one guy performed a nice powerslide arround a corner in one of the vids and smoke came from the top of the wheel well where it was rubbin hard core

i read almost the whole HybridZ 002 wheel group buy thread. and the verdict was this

16X8 fits both S30 and S130. some ran 245 tires as well. only issue was some trimmed the fender (the inside lip you know) and the rears most people rolled. problem solved. this was on lowered cars non coil-over.

yeah on 245 there is no question you MUST roll the rears.

Snwy, I JUST bought some this month. I got them a week after paying. He had just a few sets in stock. No need to wait for a 'group' as far as I know. Just send a PM to that C2AUTO guy. $400 shipped
