Got her running again...

Gonna have to make a writeup for the 240z/260z driver's who want to switch over to maxifuse since the only ones out are for the 280z and are a bit different. Tomorrow's a big day, got a tip from a local named Jeff (L28 240z soon to be turbo) who tipped me off on a 280zx turbo at the local pull and pay. He told me that the p90 head and other good pieces were still in tact, so tomorrow I'm going to pry off the p90. Let's just hope it's in good enough condition to use! Also going to pick up a 60mm TB from a 240sx.

Anyone else have some cheap junkyard upgrade ideas?

Also, good news. The dude with the 240z has a set of swasticas and he said he'd sell them to me for 150 so I'm gonna be ballin'. Or I could take the two remaining ones from the 280zx at the junkyard and hope I get lucky and find another two.

>_<

Trying to lose the n00b stigma. Turns out I get out of work today at 3pm (sucks), hopefully the place is still open. I want that head!

I would imagine they'd be open until 5PM-6PM.

Yeah but I the area I have to go through is going to suck with all the traffic. That and I have to go home and pick up my money so it's going to take another hour.

What else should I take?

Blasted traffic!

Get anything you can. If you're pulling the head, get the exhaust mani, turbo, injectors, j-pipe, etc. Get the ecu, afm, engine ecu wiring harness, vacuum pump, .... go to town!

Don't really need everything else, but I guess it's never bad to have extra things.

Thanks for the tip!

get the exhaust mani there is a stud missing on the one on the car where the turbo mounts to it, ive seafoamed it though and the leak is absolutley tiny. still a good grap. everything else is GREAT. turbo had NO shaft play and spun super freely so if you dont got the money jst get the head and manifold first. get the others if you got money burning in your pocket. oh if the dizzy is there get the CAS pig tail wire the one on the 260 is good but is starting to crack up.

Not him specifically, just a few Mustangs though I did drive up by him and I joked to him about adding "LS1TT Supercharged S30z" as a joke or something. Also, if all goes well I have a few surprise parts for the 260z (besides the p90) and I'm hoping to put them on this weekend. (If time allows)

Pretty much: Brand new Boost Controller, Blow Off Valve, installing the intercooler piping.)

I'm pretty sure that'll safely allow me to run around 10-12 psi without MS and 440cc injectors without fear of blowing the motor.
