how long did it take for them to get the webnets to you??? i wanna do self install. dont they just drop off a box with the software that day?

When I signed up for Comcast Internet, they turned on access that day. I got a free "self install kit" that is a modem setup cd & coax cables. You just run the setup & it configs your modem for Comcast (I'm using my own Linksys cable modem / network hub, not a Comcast rental modem.... stupid comcast.).

yeah, i already have a cable modem, and more coax than i know what to do with. but did they send the setup cd by mail, or did they have a guy drop it off that day. thats what *** did in san diego when i lived there.

I went to the office & picked it up the first time, but the other day when I had my service transferred, when I opened my internet (firefox) it went to a comcast page saying I needed to download a setup to config my modem settings. I imagine that would work for you too. Just hook up everything & start your internet window.

yaay, first night in my new place. got my comcastic high speed all hooked up!!! damn guy above needs to stop walking around so i can sleep .
