Get this tho. I called the police and all I got was a "Were closed" message!
"I'm sorry but were currently closed, if this is an emergency please hang up and dial 911"

Though I do love the sound of an inline six engine, you cant win the bang for the buck of a SBC.
Nope. Check out the 50's Mercedes engines. Nissan bought the rights from Mercedes for the L series. Look at a 59 190d and you'll see it.

Ya wanna know even weirder than that?? Look at the current 60 series Detroit Diesel, then look at a 1940's Hall Scott gas engine, both overhead cam...

I did not. I owned a 58 Mercedes 180d, and a 1970 Datsun Pickup in 1972. My friends both had 190 and 200d's.(which my 357k 180 would out pull if I spiked the fuel with a half quart of atf.) Wiki wasn't around in 1972.

maintenance costs would drop considerably, i would still keep it AWD though using the driveline from a trailblazer SS.

(on another note who knew that an s30 headlight wiring harness only consisted of like 8 wires?)

I've never had a chevy trans go out on me, unless i was doing 5k RPM nuetral drops or something retarded like that. the 4l60e/4l80e's and the t56 have proven themselves to be one ****in tough trans.
