OH Nismo, I was going to braise weld over all the pin holes of rust in my Z but I'm kinda new to doing this kind of welding, do you have to get the metal red hot to have the braising rob melt into the seems?
put the tools down and step away from the car......

I know that your not suposto newer car metal hot as it destroys the strength of the metal, but then how to you braze weld seems on the car?

ok... I figured it out now... You warm up the metal but not near glowing, then you melt the brazing rod onto it and melt the rod into the seams. Right?

Pushed the Z in the canyons today, and it was awesome. Kept up with the 350's which was surprising. Now that I can keep up in the corners it's time to work on keeping up on the long stretches.

And those cars were awesome. Haven't seen so many Skylines in one place. And that is the first Silvia I've seen.

Is it like being stuck in the middle of somewhere with nowhere to go? That's about where I am.

Been a while since I've been around here. I've constantly been busy and barely home. Anyway quick question guys. What was the combination you guys always would recommend for the Nissan 5-speeds. I have I believe a 280Z 5-speed. I don't think it's a 280ZX 5-speed. Either way what a good fluid combination to use. I'm just not sure when the last time it was changed or what the actual mileage is.

Let me know guys.

How do you guys feel about the Royal Purple ATF for the 5-speeds?

I did a bunch of research on using ATF in the BW T5 after I read some statements saying "YOU MUST USE ATF IN THE T5!!!" and I wasn't. This is a good read: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread...tf+borg+warner

ONLY the W/C T5's (not the 280zx BW T5) need ATF because they use needle bearings. All others use 75W-90 or 85W-90 (including the n/a trans).

Also, there are many negative reviews on Royal Purple, and everyone hypes Redline.

Well I ordered a gallon of redline. That looks like it should cover my tranny and my diff. Also I painted my j-pipe at least so it looks nicer until I run intercooler tubing and I've been working on polishing my air regulator so that looks nicer on the top of my manifold

Man I wasnt expecting them to be so heavy tho. I'm guessing its cuz they have the seat belt buckle hooked to it. Or something
