wait... it seems to me that a weekend rebuild is fun. and after that, you've got a very promising car, with everything fixed. so why would you be selling it as soon as you get it right? you haven't even gotten the feel of it! isn't it sweet?
if the head gasket went out during normal driving imagune what could happen next.
head gaskets don't notoriously go out during normal driving on all dsm's though. his case was due to improper installation or a crappy head gasket. i really don't see why it's likely to happen again if he uses a good head gasket and maybe turns the boost down a bit.
Hydro-locks, too. Those are never the driver's fault.

Oh yeah, and fish-tank valve boost control. Those NEVER blow your motor.
crappy head gasket and to much boost for a stock ecu along with my heater core line blowing and causing slight over heat. but, the pistons started getting hyrdro lock and chipping away at the top, im not sinking money into this car that i cant make back so im getting new bearings (since fluid got in the oil) and used pistons from my buddies galant and new rings so it will bring it basically back to a stock new from factory block, for dirt cheap, and thats nothing to special to me, i have a connection with cars and me and this one are NOT getting along, so im ending it now before this turns into my life story. thats the only reason why, plus with the motor and trann pull i'll be able to finally swap out trannies really fast clean up the engine bay degrease it and the block then paint it so it should appreciate from the 1.8k i paid for it plus the 300 dollars i probably will end up sinking in it in total including what i have already put in it, about 20 hours worth of labor i think letting it go for an even 3k will be worth my trouble and let some one else have a fresh start with a car that was saved from a retarded previous owner (the mustang guy i got it from) and they shouldnt have any problems with it, got get a chipped ecu an FMIC and a good dyno tune and put down a bit over 300 awhp and do it as reliably as a properly maintained DSM can be. but even after that stuff added the resell will probably be barely over 3k and thats about 1k in mods alone full fmic and the 500 dollar eprom setup so thats why i loose interest in it, i wont make any further money from it and i just didnt get any sentimental attachment to it. and after this hell week i want the simplicity of a Z back. maybe i'll try to find one with a V8 in it, but i would want an EFI aluminum block one so i doubt i can do it with a little over 3k to spend haha.
