Not exactly a relative question here, but is it safe to use an N/A FPCU in a TT if it was rewired for the N/A pin set?
Apparently the ******* previous owner fried the TT FPCU and just hard wired the fuel pump to stay at 100% whenever the ignition is on, so now regardless I am getting 74psi of fuel pressure on the return line whenever the key is forward.

Sense the engine is out and gone for a good while, I'm slowly working on the body and suspension to have the car all set for the new motor. And I have a few questions.
Is there a good brand of strut that you recommend? I've already decided on eibach springs.
I'm also going to get the energy suspension kit for this Z but I also saw that there is a solid rear subframe mount as well at Z1 and other places. Which do you recommend?
Thats it for now that I can think of, later I'll get bigger sway bars and some braces for the Z but I have that figured out I think.

How much are the stock Turbos worth? Their still barely within there wear limit by the looks of it. Oh and thats with the manifolds and heat shields and such.
Also is it just a JDM thing or is the oil pressure sender suposto be on the drivers side?

Struts come down to what you plan to do with the car. Nothing will beat a coilover system if you want to lower the car (look into SPL and Powertrix for this). I had Tokico Illumina struts, and a lot of people swear by KYB.
Solid subframe bushings will drastically increase NVH. I recommend either ES urethane subframe bushings, or stock subframe bushings with Specialty Z subframe spacers.
Must be a JDM thing for them to be on the driver's side.
Used stock turbos with pre-cats are worth about $600... not sure what the rest are worth (I only know that because I had to sell my stock turbos). Search classifieds to see what people are asking for them.

This JDM engine doesn't have precats oddly. You can look inside the downpipes but theres not even a hint there was catalytic converter stuff inside.
And I dont really want to lower my Z to much, I just want to replace the worn out sagging units.

Don't buy AMS ****. Buy the MSP originals, not the Chinese knock-offs.

And you can search 300ZX Club to see if the post about their rusting suspension components is still there, too. (I'll bet it was deleted, but I don't have it bookmarked and I don't go to 3ZC anymore because that place is a joke.)
All AMS makes is rip-off garbage, reverse engineered and manufactured in China using cheaper materials with no quality control.
You do NOT need the oil lines from the stock turbos. In fact, you should absolutely not use stock lines with ball bearing turbos - you'll destroy them.
The turbos should come with their own restricted oil lines, and if they don't, get these.
Thrust bearing turbos require substantially more oil than ball bearing turbos, so the original lines don't have the proper oil flow rates.
You may need the coolant lines, if the new turbo kit doesn't include them.

Holy crap. Ok ya staying away them them. Thank you for the heads up! Are Z1 parts ok tho? I was thinking of getting quite a few things from them, mainly the IC pipes, SMICs and exhaust parts.

Z1 isn't really top of the line, but depending on the part, they're ok. For SMICs and intake components, they're fine. Their downpipes are cheaply made knockoffs of Specialty Z components, though...

JDM motors have interesting parts on the outside. I think I need a new remote filter bracket thing sense the oil pressure sender was on the turbo hardline on the drivers side. instead of next to the oil filter. Also it has no precats. the JDM downpipes are much different then their US Pre-cat counter parts. theres no cat material on the inside at all, and their shaped a little smoother. I'll more then likely end up selling those with the turbos as well.

They're called quarter pipes and they actually use NA cats to bolt up to the TT system. Nobody in the US will have any use for them, really.

That's not even a good place to get an oil pressure reading from. The turbos are high up on the food chain when it comes to oil delivery, so you could have a problem after the turbos and never know it with a setup like that.

As far as I know thats a stock system. I dont think the idiots that put this motor into the car have that kinda skill to make something like that lol
So I guess I need to add an oil filter bracket onto my parts list too. Theres no way to mount and oil pressure sensor that wont hit something with that stock one.

Oh my friend gave me these yesterday. He said their for this 300ZX but he never got the chance to install them.

And yes. the back of that turn signal casing has been cut off. so it would clear the old FMIC piping.... I didnt do it.

Yes to ebay junk. They're knock-offs of Ground Control Coilovers. If you want to drop the car without spending bookoo bucks on coilovers, check out www.ground-control.com for adjustable height coilovers that mount to stock of aftermarket struts.
And before you install those, I've seen the aluminum collars spread and begin to split after use. Last thing you want to happen is an aluminum collar sheer off and allow the strut to bottom out with no support as you drive.

I never said I was going to install them. Their actually just gonna get tossed in a box and sit on my shelf till I feel like finding a use for them. That or if someone wants to buy them or something idk. I already decided on eibach springs and KYB shocks.
