ECU Tuning Alternatives Help

So.... the jwt ecu tuning is kinda on the pricey side. $600 and $700(i think) for any changes and such. i local shop can nistune my ecu and they charge $600 to add nistune then $125/h after that. i have no ecu tuning experience what so ever but i hear a few people do it them selfs. no idea how hard it is or how expensive the software is. i was thinking of finding somebody and have them tune it, but i think that might be too risky and might screw up the ecu. any cheaper alternatives, or do i really have no choice but to spend $700-$1000(most likely more). thanks in advance

What have you done to your motor to need nistune? If you spent some green to have a badass motor spending money on a prograble ecu is no brainer.... You have no experience so yes you have to spend that unless you read nistune forums and learn how to tune then ur price will go down. They have plenty of other choices but all require tunning.

It doesn't cost anything to research. There is a lot of DIY info on Nistune.
