As with anything, "difficulty" depends mostly on experience.
Have you done motor swaps?
Have you done custom electrical work?
Have you done any fabrication (metal / welding) work?

Well, the basic things:
-Complete engine
-Transmission
-ECU & EFI harness

Things that will need to be done:
-Fab motor mounts
-Fab trans mount
-Fab driveline
-Wire in the EFI, integrate into Z31 harness if you want to keep the Z31 gauges / accessories working.
-Etc

Mind you the Z31 engine bay is pretty small as is, and the crazy radiator support would be a headache to get around IC plumbing.

Did you click the links I posted?

yeah i just clicked on both links.. i know nothing about cars and havent really gotten my hands dirty. for this project, shops are gonna charge alot. if i knew how to do stuff myself, then it wouldnt be a problem. also what's a mass flow air sensor? its $100 extra to order that motor and trans off that link i posted? just curious.. shops are gonna charge about $4000 or so wouldnt they?

Google is your friend.

Let me google that for you

Also, download the FSM for free from XenonZ31 Reference

There's lots of info on this site, and all over the intrawebs.

Well....it kinda does, actually...you just need to do wiring, get a custom driveshaft, plumb intake piping etc

I do all of my own work, as well as work on other peoples Zs and cars. I've spent more money on this project than Z31s are worth....and thats just the engine/trans, not including the suspension crap.

Then you don't have the money to have it worked on for you.
