Front heavy? The Z31 is 50/50 weight balanced from the factory. Even the 240SX drifters aren't able to get down to that even. They're all front end heavy.

bigger names and more selection, im also comparing the VG30DE and VG30E, im not comparing the difference between DOHC an SOHC im comparing the vg30de and the vg30de, their is a TON of USDM aftermarket and JDM aftermarket for the vg30de while their is barely any aftermarket at all for the vg30e.

Hood mods, probably not. The RB25DET fits in the Z31 so the SR20DET should fit fine with room for a chicken rotisserie .

ive heard tales of the vg engine actually being used for drifting, but i seem just to spin out trying to work out the understeer, ive asked others and they all say the main deterrent for drifting my car is the engine weight are they right or have i been asking the wrong people?

To answer your LSD question... the cheapest (but more difficult) solution is locating an 87-89 Z31T differential. They are clutch type LSD's (minus the 88 SS). If you can find one at a junk yard it will cost ~$100 (you will spend a long time looking for one). They sell on ebay for $500-$800. You can also buy a POWERBRUTE for around $600 + $200 install, Nismo LSD for $800 + $200 install, or Quaife for $1500-$1800 + $200 install.

If you want to make it super difficult, you don't need LSD... there is a reason drifters use LSD in the cars...

workin on it , my skills used to be limited to the 1/4 mile but i started doing auto cross as a way of trying to build some basic driving skills.
quik question to you though( since ive been to the zbum page before and know ur more knowledgable than me) have you gotten your z to slide?
