MSD wires

so i had bought msd wires from autozone but the ones they had were not the right ones. So i was wonder if i have to cross reference from another car make.

Might help to list our part number you bought. Was it a universal kit or a specific made kit?

ahhh i knew i forgot something .... its a 79 280zx Na and the set that i bought was to a specific type of car and as part number goes i dont know because once i saw that it didnt fit i took it back. But me and my bro were thinking i could get the msd set that is made for his 64 chevy c10 I/L 6 and put it on the ZX.

If you want good spark plug wires (and really why wouldn't you) get a set of Magnecores. They are more than a set of cheapies but you get pretty much the best wires you can get.

magnecore is the way to go. they aren't much more than bosch or ngk.

I've never hear of that brand before =O . So I'm on there website , now do i have to call in to order the part that i want ?

coil got nothing to do with the wires. you need to to do some study on what does what on a car. supulveda is that some kind of california air head city

I agree on wires from Magnecor. Their race wires are larger diameter than you need but they are custom cut for you when you order on line or from their catalog. Don't let a store or some other web site order them for you - the store takes a piece of the price and may get poorer service than you will directly on line. Everything will fit perfectly, too. The end of your plug wire problems.

Sepulveda .... lol you need to get out more often .... its one of the longest streets in L.A.

Someone needs to get Magnecore to build a set that goes in front of the valve cover instead of over it...

wow, Fric. My new ones go in front, not over. They came numbered too so I'm sure I put 'em on right. Think you got a wrong set? If you call 'em up and describe the issue, bet they send you a fix. I think I ordered on the phone too. Made sure there was no screw up.

i know i might be off topic but once i order the wires . Could i run the blaster sc coil from msd on the 79 280zx with out a ballast resistor or is it still needed ?

Hmm I just got a set for Christmas but I haven't installed them yet...
