Distributor GOO?

Distributor GOO?

My Car does not start..

please see pics...Is the goo stuff normal? at first i thought it was water but i touched it and it left an imprint..

probably put in there at the factory to protect the electronics.

well i thought maybe i could remove it with some electronic spray cleaner but nothing..
I re installed and no change still no start.

Indeed it's there to protect the electronics from moisture / any contaminants... it's not "goo" it's more like GLUE. It should be pretty firm to the touch... and it's there for a purpose.

Yup its called potting compound. Its to keep water out of the electronics. Doesn't mean something isn't burnt out in there but it is normal "goo". You typically need to dig it out if you need to do a repair on the electronics part - it's chemical resistant for a reason

Finally my Car starts..I swapped out the distributor from my other z and the car started.
Now i just gotta figure why my battery is just draining.
