ZX distributor for a 240
god am i ever tired of these stupid points. gauging them, replacing them, messing with them till there just perfect. can someone tell me which Zx distributor would be best suited for my 72 240Z. its been totally rebuilt top to bottom, has 460 lift cam with duration of 270/280, dual webers(i know , i know), 79 ZX five speed. which if there is a difference which im sure would best suit my needs. also, what is the best fuel pressure to send to the dual downdraft webers if anyone knows. thanks for any and all help

Re: ZX distributor for a 240
I have an electronic ignition from a '78 in my '71. It's a stock L28, with the exception of the E88 head, and stock SU carbs. Runs great with this setup! 6,600 rpm with no skipping (of course) and its just great.
The ignition bolts right on, and if you look at your haynes manual, you can see what the wires are supposed to do, and make it work. Piece of cake.
If you really need help wiring it up, let me know, I can help.

Forget the ZX dist. The control unit for it is expensive and if you do find a dist and control unit used in good shape you never know how long it will last. What you need is a pertronix ignitor. Replaces the points in your stock distributor and wires in just like the points. http://www.pertronix.com/
