Spring Drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If they will let you out for the weekend, you can make an overnight to Nashville. I've done it many times. It's the best thing going for the moment. I tried to talk it up, but I only got one taker. IF you can get it up, it's this weekend! I ain't been to Z event yet you couldn't just walkup to at the last minute and have alot of Fun. I even did that at their annual natche Z trace run, met alot of cool folks, and had a boatload of fun! I'm planning to come to our nezt club mtg just to talk to you, if'n you'll talk back to me ( I'm afraind my friends may be dwindeleing there) . Will they let you out for Z mtgs???????????????

PS> The GTR alone will be worth the trip. Why I went all the way to NYC just to see the 350 when it deboooded. Rode the bullet train, spent all day and didn't event stay overnight. One of the best Z-trips of my life!

Trippin again.... Z ya there!

You Know who

I am working on planning the event. I'm sorry I won't be able to be at the meeting tonight because of work.

But we will be leaving from Greer about 9:00 am on Saturday, 4/26. We can meet between 7:30 and 9:00 for breakfast at Hardee's on Wade-Hampton (nearest the 101/290 and HWY 29 intersection).

The plan is to head up into Western NC via Caesar's Head (HWY 276) make either a southwestern loop or a northeastern loop and back down into the Upstate.

Of course we will stop for lunch at the mid-point.

I will send out more details through the officers via email within the next week.

It will be a blast!

Spring Drive Hardee's Location

Kevin if I'm not mistaken the club has met there before, the Hardee's in Greer on Wade Hampton next/close to Bodangles. Going toward Greer it is on the left hand side. The other Hardee's is the one just over the "bridge" in Taylors that also is on the left. One note, please do not bring any rain/thunder storms with you. That goes for everyone. See you all Saturday.

Casualties!

There were plenty of "casualties". The most serious casual Teas were Don and Jim, (no last names cause we endeavor the protect the innosense) They were "no shows" and we anticipated to the last minute! WEr'nt they going??? How casual can you get?
then it seemed that Black was the dress code ... black cars and black shirts. no one sent me the code, but I did just happen to be sporting my brand New JacK DAniels TEE from TENNESSEE. Then the prettiest BLACK 240 (we'll stop there) left the mountain ...just south of CEaZar's Head. and we sent the posse down to find it! Then the search party ensued. We searched the rubbish and dump grounds down below the blac marks and guard rails. (refridgerators and old wheels and tires) We even investigated the fresh black paint on the guard rail. Boy, our club really loves it's members, we didn't give up the search til we got a call from Chick Filet (what about that "Chic Magnet"). Then, The next casualtie was our leader for the day, (we won't call names but it was another shiny Black convertible, with quite a pretty cup holder if you know what I mean. I think they had other more important things to do so they did a Mgic act and disappeared). Without the learder the big boys dispersed.... Then there were two. We still had the secret map and and we figured it out (it was writtent in German, not Japanese if you kin figure that out). Only two survivors, but I'm really proud to say it was a '70 240Z and a very beautiful Black, complete '74 260 Z that stayed the course.

Red face Confessions

Actually, we were intercepted between Hwy. 25 and Saluda by a pretty hefty thundercloud and doubled back to take 25 down to G'ville. But didn't the weather hold up well, otherwise. It was a good drive and all seemed to enjoy the group outing. I think I had the best seat, fifth car back ...it sounded great and looked even better! The rear view was appealing, as well, eventhough I found those silver hood stripes on the Black 260Z rather intimidating, as they pushed hard through the twisties.
