Spring install
When I did my spring change on my 78Z. The front required nothing special. I disconnected the swaybar, took off the not on top of the strut. And pulled the whole assembly out.
The rear however is w real pain in the ***. You will need a spring compressor. I would then recommend disconnecting the half shafts, this allows the assmbly to fall further to give you more room to manuver the strut assembly.
I found this way to be he most affective. I had to do it twice because my kids pulled off the tags telling you which ones are front and which are rear. The first time I did not remove the half shafts and it took 4 hours and i had to cut one of the stock springs.
I am submitting this so you can learn from my mistakes.
The springs I used where from MSA and they fit great and ride prefect. I have 4 inch Titanium in my lower back, so ride quality is very improtant. These springs give me a firm but not jarring ride. I do need to get different tires mine are to tall and roll to much in the corners. I notice more with the lower springs.

When I did that, I also left the parking brake cables attached to the hubs but unbolted the rubber holders for the lines further in near the middle of the car. This allows the arms to swing down enough to barely clear the fenders.
Those lower bushings are nearly impossible to remove. When I asked about them, some say torch them out (burn/melt) or take the whole assembly to a machine shop. Not good.
