That why you see most roll cages with that foam padding wrapped around them where your body can hit them

Man I think of building a 2+2 S130 and everyone seems to freak out lol

The 240z or 280z? I couldn't "de-purify" my 70 240z.... it was too clean.

Man... I need to finish my 280z project now that I'm thinkin of it. All I need to do is wire up the EFI harness. I just lost interest for a while. And there's about 20 more important projects on my "to do" list.

Ya you should finish your 280Z I'm thinking I might just bite the bullet and just find a 2+0 S30. The Z I would love to have would be a 1972 Datsun 240Z tho something tells me I wont be able to find one now, not for under $1000 or even under $2000 I bet.
So Im working on my 2+2 S130 lol

foam pad's you see on cages are to lessen the impact with a helmet, thus why the foam is so hard, also the foam insulation you buy a lowes wont save your head, maybe for the first .04 seconds of a crash, but thats about it. also its becoming mandatory to have arm restraints and well, HAANS devices and hutchins (sp?) devices are also starting to be mandatory, that and helmet standards have increased, as well as there price, not to mention seat standards and fire safety standards.

I can tell you from experience, the foam padding is not for your head, its for a helmet. (also slapping your head on s piece of roll cage tubing REALLY ****in hurts.)

just go bu an 07-08 R1 and do some "fine" tuning on it, I have sleighed just about every newer major brand supercar built, including, a carrera GT, diablo, ford GT, 911 GT3, 911 GT2, blown zo6, about every model of ferrari, but have yet to spot an enzo looking to race, a few new GTR's including a couple R43's, crap ton of 600cc bikes, police and CHP cars and motorcycles, havent tried the helicopter yet, but I'm sure he would top out around 120mph. theirs a ton more, but thats just off the top of my head.

Well got my oil pump straightened around. Set my timing to 15* BTDC(86' Z31 ECU set with 87' Z31 Maps). Now I need to adjust the valves to hot spec. The car was idling much better. I still only have the stock n/a pump in there. Slapped the seat in not even bolted down and took it for a quick drive up the street. I didn't get on it or anything, mainly just testing the tranny, clutch, and brakes. All my gears go nicely, shifts into gear surprisingly smooth. I don't know if the redline tranny fluid makes a difference? My god it's so loud and I love the sound of the turbo. Intake is just the open MAF with no filter on it at the moment and the exhaust is still the MSA downpipe which is dumping like right under the driver's seat on the side of the trans. So incredibly loud.

This is the first time I've ever actually driven a car with a brand new 0 miles clutch or flywheel for that matter so it was weird pretty much having to go to the floor before I could get it in gear and having it where you just begin to release it the clutch is grabbing. So far so good. Now I gotta work on cleaning it up more.

By the way, if you remove the center console in these cars, will that cause issues with the dash lighting, or the blinkers or anything? It seems like alot of these lights won't work, but I think I have quite a bit of stuff still unhooked.

There's a mess of splicing/wiring all over the place from the previous owner's custom stereo setup. Oh I also need to finish wiring up my O2 sensor. I'm going to use my other 88' N/A Z31 ECU modded with Nistune for this car so I can run the stock Zirconia O2 sensor.
