The head was supposedly rebuilt, so I'm assuming someone did something wrong when they rebuilt it. The mechanic I know has some good strength, he put some channel locks on that cam and was trying to turn it. He could not get it to budge.

always get unknown heads checked before installing... why wont you people listen!!!!

 

i put about 100 rounds through my shotty and fuuuuccckkkkk does my shoulder hurt......

Any of you happen to know the torque specs for the cam towers?

 

dont quote me at this, but i think it was 73 or 75 ft lbs

 

One other thing that came to mind, when you set the valve lash for the solid lifters, is there just a general amount of clearance I should use or is it slightly different depending on the cam?
