some guy might trade me my bike plus a little cash for a FD3S. what do you guys think of that?

this color and all turbo manual with a fresh 18k engine in it and a cat back exhaust with a upgraded clutch and lightened flywheel, this was the car i looked at this summer and was the reason i sold the 280 but was bought out from under neath me so the original owner was a lady and stuck it in a ditch minor damage but was totaled under insurance (i saw the pictures of what it looked like it was all cosmetic) then the guy bought it from her fixed it salvage titled it got a new motor stuck in it when the first one blew cause it overheated and he wasnt paying attention (and he had pro shops do all the work i know cause the house he was in had to small of a garage and he was to old to do this by himself he is in his late 50's at least maybe older) so it was taken care of and now its being sold by the guy that just got it 6 months ago. supposedly to fund a business.

lol yeah. whatever

i am however worried about it. i think i can handle the labor of maintaining this car, im just curious as to how much it will require on a yearly schedule. its a great car but rotaries are fickle and the ECU's one these cars love to run lean for any reason they can find to and rotaries dont take kind to lean conditions. other than that the motors are small and if you work around the other 80% of the BS in the engine compartment im sure it isnt to hard of a motor to pull if and when needed. the main thing im worried about is money. how much it will demand and if i'll have enough to get a real POS DD and afford insurance on both of them. i can DD an FD to an extent but in weather like we have for the rest of the week, no way. i dont see myself driving this car in anything under 30 degrees. but i suppose a proper warm up period would suffice in the 20 degree range anything lower and i'd be scared to even attempt to rotate the engine lol. also i wonder if i will be able to get a garage space for it. dont really want to keep it outside.

always loved the body lines on them but the rotary always kicks ya in the face. Truly up to you. just a simple but yet complex engine. i doubt i would use that as a winter car. you could get that and always find some cheap *** truck for the winter.

i approve of that car. speaking of just cosmetic damage, i know a guy with one of those that he flipped, that still has a strait frame, and the only damage is that every body panel is ruined, and every glass is broken. but it's got an $8,000 suspension set up under it. i might be able to direct you his way if you'd like that as a parts car lol. i strongly approve of that purchase though. even if the rotary thing doesn't work out for you, that is still one sweet car. i'm hearing that they like ls2's

that rx7 screams ls1 swap with every aftermarket suspension piece available and a cage... (that gen rx7 with an ls1 is a small fantasy of mine)

as it should be. i like them a lot. if they were more affordable, i would surely rather have one of those than a Z32.

thats in response to an early comment

we dont use salt on the roads but cars still rust just the same, i have had alot of people look over my cars that i have sold hard core but i let em know what i know and most of them have been pretty rustless.

i wouldnt have worried about avoiding the guy if he pulled out infront of you, especially when you know theres no going any further with a rust bucket. i woulda gone....oh well SMASH!

i got that way with my maxima, if your gonna be stupid you might get a supprise, no contact though. had some people ask why i didnt do any thing and i just said i didnt see them and drive off.
we didnt know it was THAT rusted... snw kind of kept his SX info on the DL...

he was just waiting for some poor guy backing out of is driveway then BAM!!!! free money!!!!

from his other pics he posted i was pretty sure it was about to crack in half on the way down the road.

any was as for the RX7, get it and dont wreck it.
and try and find one of the older rotary powered pickups mazda made, that would be an awsome winter driver.
