Won't Start
Won't Start
I just recently bought a 1990 300zx from a buddy of mine, been driving it a about week and ran great. Poped the hood today to check the air filters, found out there were K&N, looked a little bit dirty so iwashed them and put them back in, put everything back together and the car wouldn't start. Thought it was kinda odd that changing/cleaning the filters would cause that sort of problem, so i called my buddy and he said that we had a problem once in a while with the battery going dead on him would roll over but not start. So i hooked up a charger charged it and it read 13 volts with the key off. Again will roll over but not start. Checked all connecters to make sure i didn't dissconnect something buy mistake. Can anyone give me an idea of where i should start to solve my problem?
If it won't start, it's 1 or 2 things:
-No fuel
-No spark
(in this case, the ecu is prolly not getting a signal from a major sensor & not allowing spark)
Now you need to find out why...
Was the car running before you took off the filter? If so, you've missed reconnecting something. Do a double check on all the connections.

PTU or CAS but I will say you need to run the codes and get the results from there. Could be a number of things but you should always try to run your codes first, then check and clean any connections second and then if you still can't figure it out then you get nervous.
Yep, that is about it!

Yeah...I can sell you one for about $50 and it comes with a bridge. Just send the money to...
Kidding, you can do it yourself by clicking here:
