some clutch issues

I've got a slight problem right now.. my clutch had went out on me before i came back to iraq, so i ordered a spec clutch and flywheel for replacement. the 2 parts are for the 90 n/a.. i had it all put in by my mechanic and it all goes good, up until you try and give it alot of power, then it seems to slip. would the spec clutch and flywheel not be a good combo for everything else being stock and i should have just gone with the original parts or what. also im pretty sure the synchros are bad cause its grinding when i go into 2nd when i get on it, but if i relax and shift then theres nothing. any ideas?

your mechanic probably got oil or grease on the friction surfaces.

what do you mean by spec? you mean aftermarket or OEM?
