new problem
after i adjusted my timing on my car beacuse of my ticking valves it worked ok for a couple of days an then somtimes my car wouldnt start so i had to push start it no when i barley tap the gas instead of the rpm's going up they drop down briefly what could this be?

We should assume that your "ticking valves" was actually detonation since you figured that adjusting your timing would fix the problem?
If your engine bogs or wants to die when you press on the gas, the first things to check for would be vaccum leaks and/or your timing being way off.

no i have the timing at factory specs but sometimes it just wont satret and the i will run the codes on the ecu and it will say 34 dentiotnation sensor then it wil go away to 55 system ok so cant figure out the problem

Sounds like a intermittent problem ....... Have you cleaned all of your electrical connections in that area? Verified that there are no loose connections? maybe do a continuity check on the wires. The copper inside can break down even when the outside looks o,k.

When I replaced my fuel injector plugs the wires were a little green on the inside, even way inside the wiring harness. Is that consistent with the wire breaking down? I hope I don't need the full $350 EFI harness. I could test the resistance from each end of the wire, huh...?

You could even replace individual wires if you chose too, as opposed to buying a new harness

I've been studying my FSM most of the day- just learned that you can trace the wires from each sensor/connector/etc that is important under the hood to a pin on the ECU harness connector. SO, if you suspect corrosion as a culprit in some engine issues, just test each end of the line and see if you have full continuity. Cool beans.
