internet too slow to search...

there's a problem with my internet, and for some reason i'm unable to search here or on any other forum. posting and stuff is slow too, so i'm just asking a question i should be searching for. please help me out!

i finally got the car running after some valve cover gasket/injector replacement work. also replaced IACV connectors with GM style.

i finally get it running, and it's running like ****. bad connection on water temp sensor, now it's a little better. remaining problems are:

1. idles high. holding around 950 now. i did have the AAC apart and took the idle screw out, so obviously i need to reset the base idle. BUT, i let the engine get to op. temp., took the aac plug off, and the engine stalled. wtf... based on the description of the aac that i read, i didn't even think it was possible for the aac to change when not plugged in... so.... what now?

2. i rev, let it drop, and it wavers a bit. not at all sure how to go at that one.

yeah, i checked all connections. yes, it's possible i attached one of the new connectors backwards. i figure, since that's kinda hard to diagnose at this point, i'll do so thngrough doing what you all say to do and have it not work.

thanks in advance. as soon as the car's going again i'll have time to start working on the internet at my f-ing house. i never thought my school internet would be better than at my home.

on a side note, it's now taking multiple attempts to even post this thread. net works intermittently, hence, searches stop mid way.

haha no, you're missing me. it's not that searches are slow, it's that they're impossible. i'm not kidding. the internet starts and stops, and searches don't restart once that happens.

now adding some more info...

code 55, but, when i take the water temp sensor off, it makes no difference in how the car runs.

so, no help from you? you have to admit, it is a bit of a tricky one.

one more bit of info: passes the pinch test. once warm, pinching the line has no affect on the idle speed.

Since you mentioned your internet...

Are you using Firefox with Adblock Plus? And AVG anti-virus?

i'm not sure if i have adblock, but yes to the other two. it's the same on my mom's computer here though and she's got a completely different browser set up. it's the router i'm sure. what i should do is plug it in, but there are always people downstairs where the box is...

that, and in all the research i've done on idle problems, i've never seen any info on what to do if your car stalls when you unhook the aac!

this internet problem is about to ruin me. seemingly, my internet here at home starts and stopsfrequently, but only for split seconds. most page loadings go ok, occasionally needing a refresh, but the real problems are searching forums and watching streaming videos. downloads are a problem as well.

i would be searching or on a computer forum for this, but i can't search ANY forums, or join new forums! i'm just screwed! google searches work fine because they're so fast, but forum searches are slow enough that the internet momentarily stops and restarts and the search does not then continue.

any ideas?
