The temp goes down cuz you're moving and moving forces air over the radiator and cools the car's engine and other parts.
Sounds like the A/C is finally running out of R12 refridgerant. You might wanna look into having your car retro fitted to the newer R134 refridgerant.

If it's blowing humid air, then your AC drier may be clogged or on it's way out. The drier is fairly inexpensive, but like most parts on this car, the labor to install it will be expensive. If it's your compressor, then search junkyards. You could probably pick 1 up for $150 or so.
