Gas gauge not working..

Gas gauge isn't working in my 88' Z31.. Had the fuel pump sending unit and oil pump checked 2 years ago when I got the car. Might be the cluster inside the instrument panel?

Fuel level sending unit. Common failure.

I don't understand that registry thing az-bum. Do I have to replace the whole sending unit? Maybe it would be the cluster in the dash?

What don't you understand about the registry? I thought it was pretty self explanatory.

It's the sending unit. It's in the gas tank. It's a common problem. You replace it by going through the hatch.

It's almost never the cluster.
