anyone tell me why. its not woking properly right now. the last few weeks it worked most the time but sometimes wouldnt, and now the overall gauge doesnt work, my 1/4 tank one does just fine i believe but the overall one just sits at the bottom.

 

Well, this may sound silly but have you filled the car past the 1/4 mark?

 

hehe... if you do have a full tank... check the wiring from the gas tank. If that doesn't work, the float may be caught... that means you get to pull the float unit & take a gander.
