fuel wiring problem

ok my car melted a wire on the fuse link for the fuel pump. i fixed the wire but it still does not run. i tested the current running to the fuel pump and it's getting power. what could this be? fuel pump relay? it's already burned up a wire in the fuse link. does this mean the E.C.C.S. is not grounding the fuel wires to teh fuse link? and how would i check that? or if it's the fuel pump relay, where is it?

ok so this is what i've done. i've torn the whole car apart tracing down the wires from the fusible link and the fuel pump. theres nothing wrong with the fuel pump side of the harness and i replaced the fuel pump relay. but the fusible link side is another story. from the wiring diagram that i have i should have two relays after the fusible link, the main relay and the safety relay. these 2 relays are not on my car or are hidden very well. of coarse theres the idea of my ECCS fried which i also to into consideration so i went a bought one from a salvage yard. still no go. the car will turn on but the engine will only turn over the fuel pump will not turn on. and it's not the fuel pump cuz i hard wired the ground and the pump started pumping. so the only idea i have is that it's because of those 2 relays. if anyone has any idea to what my problem is it would really help i just paid a buttload for this new tranny and i can't even drive my car so i'm pretty mad about that, well that and the fact that i can't figure out whats wrong. so lemme know your input thanx.
