Thumbs up OBD1 Check Engine Light Diagnositic

Hello, I have quick question about my OBD.

I was wondering how I would get the codes to be read from the Check Engine light instead of reading them from the OBD console. I once tried to check it but it didn't seem like any readable codes came up.

Let me know how it's done or if it's even possible!

Thanks guys.

it is reading the the blinking lights codes ,then looking that sequence up in the FSM.
to see data from the systems dealers had/have a break out box , which you need to see to help diag.

the climate control and cruise control use the a dash lite as code for there problems if I am remembering right

the only way to get the codes is to follow the directions in the fsm. no way to read them just count the blinking lights (not a euphemism it is what they do.)

you would do better to put a cogent post on this forum as to your problem and you will probably get some answers.
