Work has veen swamping me. Little update was able to pick up some heads this weekend. Nice little port and polish work, jwt stage 2 cam. (thx zach) All assembled and ready go.
Sent auto turbo pump off to ep so i should have that ready to slaped in the engine. I went ahead and attempted to polish the headers. Not bad but im going to finish them up at a friends place
Makes that table look fast
No real big update, need to finish painting the z. Got a little done. Got some new goodies from my man zach.
Crappy pic but you get the idea
Got some little dings i missed. Damn black shows everything. Nothing is bolted down so still not done with body work(will be dent free) Engine is ready to be built but my laptop took a crash a couple weeks ago so i lost everything spec wise. Still gotta finish the carpet and install all the interior. Then off to wiring. Weather is getting pretty damn hot down here so ill take it easy till i get my ac work shop.
starting to get back into things so i have a little update
just a little more and she will be ready. Got nistune and a beefy turbo in the mail not to long ago. Hoping I can get some more stuff done this weekend.

Not dead just been busy. So its been awhile since i got to play on the z. Getting the itch to finish this thing. So had to work on the tranny mount. Just have the parts slapped together until the tranny is in the mount.
Was thinking on how to lift the engine and tranny. Really don't want to lift the engine with all the goodies i have so i was thinking of this little bracket. What yall think? Any ideas spit them out for me.
my reason why i have been neglecting the z.
enjoy the hell out of riding the bike.

w00t on the ground (supported)
(forgot cover plate so had to take flywheel back off, I blame the 100 degree weather)
BEEFY clutch fork and chrome moly pivot ball
dusted the cob webs off.
Sits and waits to be placed in its home as of right now.

things are kinda slow. With the little hours I have after work does not leave much play time on the z. Kinda finishing up interior and wiring most of the gauges. Wiring is like my least favorite thing to do so it takes me more time.

Very nice work, love seeing more restore projects. Keep these babies alive. I just bought a Shiro that needs a lot of TLC when it comes to the body, so i'll be slowly learning a few new things. I have a nasty rust hole forming under the passenger side quarter window and the previous owner did some terrible bondo work and mismatching white touch up paint all over the place.
Im really interested in the rear bumper tuck that you did. Did you just trim down the cover and suck it in more? Did you have to modify the actual bumper rebar under the cover? It looks sexy!

Took the crach bar itself off. fabbed up some square tubing to take its place. Smaller and lighter. Basically i just cut the bumper and pushed itself in. Got the desired look and glassed it. Took some time but not bad once you start. Good luck on yours and hope you post pictures of your build.
