ECU chips actually work or bullshit?
So, I've been looking to increase performance on my 86 NA 300zx, and I've heard that an ECU chip is the best way to go.
Which chips are actually legitimate, or are all a ripoff? If they're real, can someone recommend one?

These "cheap" chips either do nothing or are a simple resistor that biases the intake air temp sensor which fakes the computer into supplying more fuel at a given throttle setting. The chips are very good at emptying your wallet.
