Wiring Issue

Installed a rebuilt motor in my zx race car and ran into an issue.
The car has the ignition switch taken out and replaced with an switch panel with a ignition aftermarket rocker switch and a momentary start switch. the fuel pump is wired to the ignition switch as well.
So I accidently hooked up the ground wire wrong and when I turned the battery switch on, had no power. Found the fault and made the correct connection.
So now I turn the battery switch on but there is no power to the start circuit. The other functions and switches work just not the start circuit.
No fuel pump or power to the coil.
I do have 12 volts at the starter.
I checked the fusible link, no burned wires and have checked the fuse panel, no blown fuses.
Any thoughts or ideas????

hit the starter solenoid with a hot wire from the battery. If you get no action you got a bum starter.

Fusible links

I know you said you checked them, did you do a visual inspection, or tested them with a meter ? reason I am asking, the design of the links allows for the plastic covering on the wire to remain intact, even after the wire has burned through. They do melt completely sometimes, but not always.

I checked each fusible wire with a meter. All good.
So looking further in the manual, in the passenger footwell there should be a ignition relay, 6 pin along with an accessory plug and a seat belt timer.
The only relay I can find is a 4 pin and the wire colors do not match the schematic. So where is the ignition relay??

Did it work before you crossed the wiring??
Did you own this car before any modifications to the ignition, just wondering maybe they bypassed the relay, or moved it due to the switch panel. What kind of switch panel is it? Does it have its own circuit protection?

year, GLL base ?

What year is your zx ? relay location and wiring colors did vary each year, not a lot, but still not all the same.

Yes it worked before my screw up!
I did not own the car before the ignition was changed.
The manual says 2 different things, one says ignition relay and one says ignition accessory relay?? I found the 6 pin accessory relay and it was not plugged in, has been that was for a long time. The manual calls it an ignition accessory relay. The actual plug has a jumper wire in it so it was done this way for a reason.
The switch panel is just an aftermarket 6 switch panel with resetable breakers. It was not popped.
Again in the manual, I found an ignition relay picture and it looks like a fuel relay, I just don't know where it is located. It is not the same configuration pin wise as the previously mentioned relay.
Confused?? I am ..........Thoughts??

Assume that nothing changed in the wiring configuration.

The problem started after you hooked up a ground wrong.

You have an aftermarket fuse box...

My guess would be that you had something that wasn't fused and you burnt a wire. A good way to know is to trace out the suspect wire to the starter and check for continuity. Electrical troubleshooting on circuits that aren't stock and therefore don't have correct wiring diagrams is something of an art. I know as I did it as a part of my job for several years. Be patient and deal with one variable at a time.

If nothing obvious jumps out at you, try making a jumper from the battery and run a temp circuit, FUSED, and confirm that it is only a wiring issue.

Good luck

OK thanks, that is what I was planning to do now. Guess it will be wire by wire.
