Rpm Issue
Does anyone have an Idea why my 1985 300zx wil not go pass 2,000 RPM?
I have cheked tha Mass Airflow and according to the manual it test ok. I have read the ECU and no code to the Mass Airflw appears. So could he ECU be bad or is there a way to bypass the problem or maybe something else that I can't figure out? I need help and I do have the shop Manual, but to no avail on resolving the issue? HELP

Actually, if I remember correctly my Z31 was doing that. It wouldn't go past 2000 RPM, but it wouldn't throw codes. The MAF actually wasn't bad, there were some leaves that had gotten in there and were on the mesh wiring so it would block the airflow. Once we cleaned the leaves off the MAF, we put it back in(make sure to plug it back in too ) and the car ran perfectly again. Have you tried pulling the MAF and checking it out yet? See if this helps. I know when we did it, it seemed way too simple that the car would run after cleaning leaves off, but it did.

I have taken mine off but no leaves, however, i will try to blow dry it. if this does not work I found an ECU on e-bay as one of my last try. My last one will be to take the car ino nissan just to shoot the trouble as I can do the work if possible. I will keep everyone posted on how I esolved the issue
Thanks
Thanks
