I know it has been a while since I posted anything. Especially about my progress on the Z. Still drive him on the weekends. And drive my Neon during the week. Here is a rough video of how my Z sounds. By the way, does anybody know how to post the video from you tube so it shows up as one? Anyway enjoy and more to come.

After I get the '83 running, I am going to refresh my '82 Slicktop. New rings, bearings, and hone the cylinders if necessary. Considering my cylinder head is practically new, so no reason to mess with that. With the engine still in the car, I will drop the oil pan, pull the head and such. Then push the pistons from the bottom and exit them out the top, and refresh them with new rings. As parts I can get at a discount at work.
Then after all is said and done, I will have a practically new engine and should be good for many years. And down the road eventually replace my rear sub frame. Will keep you updated when I get some progress.

Well I found a new discovery recently that I couldn't quite pinpoint. Well I found out what it is.....I have a bad I believe carrier bearing in my rear end that is shearing slowly. And of course I do not have the money nor can I put my Z down to fix it. On top of that, I got 15mpg last tank full which is horrible. I think that the compression ring in cylinder 6 is getting worse. I might need to drive my truck here soon. As my Olds still needs some overhauling in the wiring. (which is a mess)

Update*
I have decided when I get working steadily again, and get some money flowing. I will be rebuilding the engine on my '82 Slicktop. But right before I do that. I am going to fix the wiring in my '96 Neon so I have a good economical car to drive to work. And something I don't mind putting the miles on. As it is I am driving my Z until I fix the Neon. After rebuilding the engine on the Z. Probably will be my Firebird after that, and rebuild the '67 Pontiac 400 big block. And who knows after that? lol One thing at a time. That is all for now. I will keep you all posted when I find the time, or something new develops.

Well a new change of plans these past few months. I have had a rocky year for employment, and was laid off 3 times at a Computer Assembly place. Anyway I have decided to go carbed on my Z, when I rebuild the engine. Probably duals, with either a 240z intake or an aftermarket direct with a cleaner look. Have to wait until I am working steadily, and get some money flowing again.
