Weekend chore . . .

So once again i have to pull the manifold and header to replace the gasket. Cept this time i went with the Nissan metalic gasket intead of the POS MSA paper with a flimsy metal core. Plus I got it at wholesale . I strongly recomend everyone do the same in the future. MSA's products are slowly but surely losing my vote. . . .So this will be my saturday morning project.

Good times! I think I'd rather do anything else on the car, over pulling the manifolds. I hate that job.

Me weekend project is going to be calling my old Big O store every five minutes (using a different foreign accent every time of course) and asking if I can make an appointment to get my "Free" oil change done ... Then not showing up to get it when I'm supposed to.

Either that... or I'll drive back and forth in front of the shop with a big sign on my car that reads "Big Sale On NOW at DISCOUNT TIRE!" and "Follow me to DISCOUNT TIRE for GREAT DEALS on Tires and Wheels!"

Running back and forth fromt he house to the street etc. I hate doing this job but i hate exhuast leaks even more. . . .she'll be running again by noon.

Actually I don't think pulling the manifolds, is that terrible. Now that I have done it a few times. It just seems to get easier, the more times I did it. The only thing I think is a pain, is the headers. Getting those certain bolts back in, is somewhat frustrating. But not all too bad. Good luck to you Apollo.

I'm greatful for that guide. It should be very helpful when I do my manifold gasket. Considering haynes is pretty useless in the aspect of doing that job. How much does that gasket run for?

Ahhhhh the sweet melody of the leak free L28 . . .

I honestly love the sound of this straight six more than any other motor. There is just something about it that makes my hair stand on end. Its like the frequency range of the motor at just the right RPM or something. . .

I know what you mean bro'. As soon as I fix my exhaust leak, mine will sound more roadster like. The leak is where the cat is, just haven't felt right today. I have had to deal with heartburn which sucks. Glad all worked out for you.

I cant wait to get the rest of my exhaust made. Even with the stock muffler on it the car sounded awesome. Nothing beats the sound of an inline 6!
