never seen one on any other car, whats the purpose of it? to cool down the fuel to pull a lil more HP? thats the only thing i can think of.

 

it's to cool the fuel rail and the injectors to help prevent against fuel vaporization after the car has been shut off.

 

i believe there was a thread on this just a week or two ago. perhaps it was another forum.... it ended up saying that it really wasn't very effective, so it could come off, but it did help a little, and didn't hurt anything, so why take it off.

 

if its a show car then it could get in the way unless it was cleaned up nice n purdy.

 

it was on hybridz a few months ago..something about the quality of gas in the 80s and that it was useless now.

i put mine back on and put it to ignition power for the trip to california just incase, i figured if it cooled it just a bit id get better milelage, or at least keep the area a bit cooler.

 

some vapor lock crap.. i took mine off cause it quit working or mabe it turned to winter time and wasnt needed... oh well easy to put back on
