I Passed Smog!!!!

Yes I my Z passed smog today, I am so friggin' stoked!! Here are the readings for your viewing pleasure.

Hydrocarbons 1.41 limit 3.00 PASS

Carbon Monoxide 13.95 25.00 PASS

Oxides of Nitrogen 2.12 3.50 PASS

There you have it folks, I was surprised to tell you the truth. Especially considering my cat is gutted out. And he blew that clean, so hopefully tomorrow, he will be sporting a new plate, and tags.

And all I did was take him to a Z guru, and I did what he told me to do. And it was the best $75 I could have spent on my Z. Anyway feel free to post your comments, thoughts, all are welcome.

Thas right my boy! So did he say what he did to make it pass? Or does he just know how to use the emissions machine properly?

That is outstanding news WildmaN!

I'm really happy for you. Now go take it for a nice relaxing drive somewhere and have Carl tag along. 2 car Z train to the middle of nowhere and back is always fun.

Rod.

Are you talking about the Z guru? If so, he just knows how to get these cars through. He hardly use any tools, he is absolutely amazing!! With 30 + years working on Z cars. He pretty much knows everything about them. But he did not give me a 100% gurantee on passing. But said there was a chance, and sure enough there was.

There is really no reason to PM you, and it isn't a big secret anyway. Here is the link to the thread I talked about this. But I am not sure, if a Turbo has to be dialed in differently. As you know, I have a '82 N/A.

yeah I'd be careful leaning out a turbo engine without a means of monitering it.

Yeah that is why I gave him a warning on it. I am sure I could find out, about how to dial in a Turbo. But I figured it would be different, because it is a turbo.
