It's ALIVE!!!!!!
New tranny is installed! Took it for a quick test drive and it was great. The noise I have had for the 3.5 years I have owned the car is completely gone.
I stopped by the tranny shop where my old one was today and was amazed. I did a pretty impressive job of blowing that thing apart
Thanks again to Lost Vegaz for getting me back on the road in time for MSA.
Rod.

I have to say, the Z community really is a great thing to be a part of. I was sure to miss my second straight MSA show until Lost Vegas Stepped up and offered to help.
All you guys are awesome (well... almost all of you )

Me and Wildman were joking about how much your trip to Vegas for the transmission sounded like the story behind "Smokey and the Bandit"(AKA "The trip that could never be done"!). LOL!!! We carried on for a long time, and I came up with "Smokey and the Kia", followed by "Smokey and the Tranny". We knew you'd make it, but still had to have a little fun...
We were behind you all the way, Rod!!

I am so happy for Rod. Yeah Baby I was worried about that tranny, that car came from a Tweaker. See my old post about finding glass pipes in it and stuff. He called me tonight and told me it shifts like butter. Yeah.
Plus his friend got the parts he needed to get his Z up and runnin. Yeah And the shell is still there for J. And LWW, in case something goes bad with your tranny, I still got one for you too. And Skittles your parts are still here too. Just because I can't drive 1, doesn't mean I will deny any one parts. Long live the Z

Well, the new tranny worked great on the way to the shop this morning
I'm not going to have much time to pretty the car up before Sunday morning, but I WILL make it to the show!

That great news Rod, I was hoping everything would work out for you. And yeah a big #ss round of hands held high for Vegas. For his righteous, and unselfish act, on helping a fellow Z brother out. I love this forum. And Rod, see you next year at MSA? I am pretty sure I will be there, along with Carl too.

Thanks WildmaN!
After all the hard work you've put into your car this last year or so, there was no way I was going to take the easy way out and miss MSA again this year. I was determined come Hell or high water to get that car up there under it's own steam... Partly because of the inspiration I got from you.
I really hope you make it next year.
By the way, there's another ALL Z CAR show in Temecula California the following Sunday for anyone who's going to be in the area
