Fuel injector pintle caps ???
Fuel injector pintle caps ???
Does anyone know if the plastic pintle caps on fuel injectors is really necessary? I'm looking at some SVO injectors, but the caps are different & I'd need to take them off. I had probs w/ my stock 280zxt injectors when they had broken caps... but many people have said they run w/o them.

You don't need the pintle caps for the SVO injectors. Most people pull them off. The o-ring that the SVO injectors use seals perfectly fine, and will not cause a vacuum leak like the stock ZX injectors will if the caps are missing. I'm running my SVO's with no caps on them and I didn't notice any change from when I had them on.
