Geez! I got to get a new T-stat and gasket. The the gasket is now NLA by itself. If I want that gasket I have to buy the ENTIRE engine headgasket kit.

Make one out of gasket maker. Just buy gasket material. Take a hammer on the spot you need the gasket. Then gently tap it, then cut the gasket out.

And put a new Tstat in and sealed that up with red silicone as well. No new water pump tho. but I might go get my rad dunked. idk.

IDK about silicone only for a T-stat. Also, the gasket is a fairly universal design for the thermostat house cover. Napa def has them since I got one 2 weeks ago. Unless you mean the gasket where the thermostat housing mounts to the head itself, in that case, idk WTF you took that off for, but I made one from gasket material.

If it leaks I'll goto napa and and see if they can get me one, last time I tried to get a gasket set they wanted to charge me $15 in freight on a $9 kit. And yes I only took the top half off lol

Relax man, and take a breather. Seriously, take a break. It wasn't easy for me either. And it was my first time this past November. I actually put it together the first time. And ended being off one tooth. Talk about frustrating, I was so aggravated. I decided to calm down, and think it through. And I took it all back apart again. It was a pain to get the timing cover on, while keeping the dizzy and oil pump aligned. Believe me bro', I feel your pain. You can do it, I got faith in you. Just have some faith in yourself too. We are here for you.

Bleh I feel stupid for that last post now that I've calmed down. I'm just still in awe that the EGR plate that was welded on blew off!

Edit: Well I WAS going to just JB weld the plate back on by now I'm paranoid that it wont seal or a chuck a JB weld will run down inside then break off when its hardened and destroy my motor. Guess I just better find a new intake manifold and gasket and injector o rings and bleh.

If my JB welded water pump is still kicking 6 years later, then just hammer the plate closed and JB the outside edge shut. All it has to do is seal.

The Z is fixed, for now anyways lol And as far as I can tell its not leaking anywhere! (sept for the damn rear main) Note to self, ALWAYS buy felpro gasket kits, not the cheaper kit.

Now to replace the (list goes on longer then the post limit allows)
