Does anyone know what's involved in swapping the automatic rear defroster system into a ZX that didn't come with one? I don't care about the "automatic sensing" feature (so I wouldn't bother hooking up the glass sensor), but what I'm interested in is the timer feature of the automatic system. When you turn the rear defroster on, due to the rocker switch's design, it will automatically be off again the next time I start the car (there's no permanent "on" position). I'm wondering (and doubting) that it's as simple as swapping the switch faceplates.

Yes, that's exactly the function I'm interested in. Because on my "manual" defroster-equipped ZX, I always forget it's in the on position and then I'm running around with the system on all the time.

No not yet. Well actually I guess you could say I've had the chance but just didn't do it yet I'm heading out to Kings Dominion tomorrow but I'll probably have time when I get home.
