Nice. Yeah when I rewire mine I'm taking all the relays out of the engine compartment. Gonna hide em in the fender or under the dash or something. Haven't decided that part yet. Also gonna eliminate alot of it too since I don't need all of em like the AC relay and what not. But you can mount those relay boxes and stuff where ever you want as long as it's not on the exhaust manifold Good luck though.

Summit has a few. Even pepboys sells a kit. Try Summit though as they sell some quality stuff. Jegs will probably have some kits too. All you need is the proper cable (lower gauge as you gotta run more) and a mount/box.

www.summitracing.com
I don't know Jegs site by memory.

Cant you just cut the clips and pull the wires up and out of the way ...it looks like from the pics that you could just move them down a bit ...then make a heat sheld to cover them ....just a thought .....it mite save sometime ...
I HADNT THOUGHT OF THESE KIND OF PROBLEMS ....
IT SEEMS THERE IS ALOT MORE I NEED TO LOOK INTO BEFOR I GET TO GO TURBO..I THINK MABE THE WHOLE MOTOR SWAP ECU AND WIREING HARNESS IS THE EAZYEST WAY TO GO CHANGEING OVER AND NA TO TURBO SEEMS LIKE ALOT MORE WORK ...

Hey man glad to see your project is going well. Wow that is an insane Turbo, it is pretty big! THat Z should run like a raped ape, and more. Anyway I would go with what Black suggests to save you work and time. But if your goal is to make the engine bay cleaner, and more freed up. Your idea sounds good, and I hope it works out for you. WHen it comes time, for me to Turbo mine. I am going the easy route. And buying the Turbo block, harness, and all the components to turbo it. I think a stock turbo is pretty fast, and powerful as it is. Considering my n/a was pretty quick, I know a turbo would be much quicker. Especially in a 5-speed!! All in all I should have my Z on the road within a couple of months. (I hope)

Anyone thought about machining an adapter plate to rotate the output of the compressor 90 deg. counter clockwise?

That would put it pointing straight up...? This would avoid the close proximity to the strut tower although not the need for the 90 deg. elbow.

I am actually going to point the compressor down and get a silicone 908 elbow and run my FMIC bottom to top..

Excellent. Althought, I thought that might interfere with the steering box.

Its angled just to where it points in the corner down there angives me enough room to sweep the 90* pretty long.. Iwish that the turbo motor was in there already..
