300zx brake conversion onto a 280zx?!?!

On S30's they are plug & play. S130's require wheel adapters / spacers due to the shorter hub.

I test fitted a set at the pick n pull once... they bolt right up, but the freaking stock wheels hit the caliper.

My 280Z is definitely going to get 4-piston calipers on the front.
As for Z31 brakes, I believe it can be done, but I think you need the Z31 sturt/shock towers. I remember someone here did it. Can't remember his user name at the moment, but the Z31 struts bolt right in for the front on a 280ZX. I believe the rear required a little bit of modification. Overall this allowed you to run the 5-lug Z31 suspension along with the larger brakes, plus with 5-lug you get more wheel choices.

BTW nismopick did you mean s12 for the vented rotors that bold straight on ?
there are 2 different calipers, the 1979-85 4x4 was a solid one and the 1986-88 4x4 calipers are also marked "S12+8" but were designed to fit the wider, vented rotor.
(for the record to people that are unfamiliar with these the s12's are TOYOTA TRUCK 4 RUNNER FRONT BRAKE CALIPERS )
since the zx has vented rotors
part numbers for autozone;
C8554 Passenger side Vented rotor. C8555 Driver side Vented rotor.
Price:
$39.99
core:
$42.00
Total:
$81.99 PER SIDE
the 5 lugs
