Z has a problem :(

Well two days ago I started the Z up and it seemed a bit wierd. I just thought it was because it was a little cold out. Well I got it running and it was going fine, but then later in the day all of a sudden it stalled while i had the clutch in and my foot on the brake. It started right back up but every now and again it will miss really bad almost like a stall but will start right back up if your moving fast enough. I thought it might have something to do with the spark plugs the previous owner put on so i got some NGKs and it hasnt helped. I would appreciate any info people would have. This is a 1983 280zx by the way.

You might want to check out the vaccuum lines as well. Sometimes they get a tiny little crack in them and everything goes to crap in a hurry.

I would believe it's the ignition module too.

Bad news is they will set you back a couple of hundred

Well I was lucky and caught a deal off of a slightly used one from a friend for 20 bucks. You can't beat that with a stick considering they are about 300+ new.

I figure as long as it lasts me until October when I take the car off the road it will be a good investment. I just couldn't justify spending that much money right now on a little black box. I believe the one on the car was orginal,
unless whoever replaced it used a factory replacement
